Profile Border stores the user's selected preferences locally within the Chrome profile using Chrome's local storage system. These preferences may include:

Profile Border requests access to ordinary HTTP and HTTPS webpages so it can display the user's selected colored border and optional label.
The scripting permission allows the extension's bundled border code to activate in eligible website tabs that were already open when the extension was installed or updated. Profile Border does not download or execute remote code.
The extension does not read, collect or transmit webpage content, passwords, form entries or browsing activity.
Profile Border does not use analytics, advertising services, tracking technologies or external data-storage services. No user information is sold or shared with third parties.
Users can change their Profile Border preferences at any time through the extension popup. Users can remove locally stored extension information by uninstalling Profile Border from Chrome.
